-Sadness
-Self-consciousness
-Guilt
*Do you experience these emotions more frequently than other emotions that seem more appropriate for the other gender?
-Sometimes, more depressed than any other negative emotion
-I would say that I experience more anger than my husband, but I am
far more emotional than he is and I am more high-strung too
*What gender-based display rules do you follow when communicating your emotions?
-I do not really feel like I have any norms that I have to follow
-As a women, I think that showing/communicating emotion is
allowed in any situation, as long as it is not expressing anger
2. Take the “Self Quiz” (pg 296), what approaches to conflict do you use most often?
-According to the self-quiz, I utilize the accommodating and
collaborating approaches most often
*Do you feel your approaches to conflict are effective?
-Yes, I think they are effective
*Why or why not?
-Conflicts that I am involved in generally end in a solution or a change
in behavior
-Everyone normally ends up satisfied with the solution, not always the
other person because I am always accommodating
